During the 2025 Annual Conference, BMW Group CEO Oliver Zipse revealed ambitious plans to introduce more than 40 new or updated models within the next two years, signifying a significant shift in the company’s approach to electrification and innovation.
The rollout begins in September with the debut of the new iX3, marking a pivotal moment for the automaker. Standing beside a prototype shrouded in camouflage, Zipse expressed excitement about the upcoming electric SUV, which will be the first production vehicle from the Neue Klasse line. He stated, “What is still hidden under camouflage foil here will be unveiled at the IAA Mobility in Munich in early September,” highlighting the importance of this event for the brand.
At the IAA Mobility, BMW plans to present the production-ready version of the iX3, making it clear that this vehicle is set to become a cornerstone of their electric offerings. Zipse enthusiastically shared, “I can already reveal one key detail to you today: this BMW will be released onto the market as the BMW iX3”.
This unveiling not only continues the legacy of the original all-electric BMW X model but also builds on its popularity, which has captivated fans around the world since its introduction in 2020.
