Geri Halliwell, known for her iconic role in the Spice Girls, is not one to frequently discuss her daughter Bluebell, now 18, who she affectionately refers to as her “mini-me.” However, during a candid conversation on the latest episode of Jessie Ware’s Table Manners podcast, Geri opened up about Bluebell’s current academic journey and her personal growth.
Geri proudly shared that Bluebell has embarked on her own adventure by leaving home to study English Literature at university. Expressing her joy and pride, Geri remarked, “That’s mother’s pride though, isn’t it? You must feel immense pride for all that your daughter has accomplished. It’s incredible to witness them thrive and carve out their own paths in life.”
In a delightful twist, Geri revealed that Bluebell has become an invaluable resource for her writing endeavors. She explained to the Sunday Times, “She’s brilliant at writing. I often run things past her for my novels.” This collaboration not only highlights Bluebell’s literary talents but also showcases the close bond they share through their passion for storytelling.
Interestingly, while Bluebell doesn’t seem to maintain contact with her biological father, Geri acknowledged that she has inherited some of his writing skills. Geri’s former partner is a renowned screenwriter and director, which indicates a strong creative lineage.
In addition to her academic and writing pursuits, Geri shared that Bluebell has developed a newfound love for cooking. Demonstrating her culinary skills, Bluebell prepared a special meal for her parents on Valentine’s Day. Geri enthusiastically recounted, “Bluebell really enjoys cooking. Just the other night, she made us a delicious Chinese chicken dish. Instead of going out, she opted to cook for me and my husband, treating us to a lovely steak dinner as well.”
This glimpse into their family life paints a picture of a nurturing and supportive environment, where Bluebell is flourishing both in her studies and her culinary adventures.
