On Thursday, 20 February 2025, the NATO Secretary General, Mr. Mark Rutte, is scheduled to make an official visit to Slovakia, underscoring NATO’s commitment to regional security and collaborative defense efforts.
During his visit, Mr. Rutte will engage in discussions with several key Slovak leaders, including the President of Slovakia, Mr. Peter Pellegrini, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Mr. Robert Kaliňák. This high-level meeting aims to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation on defense initiatives, particularly in response to evolving security challenges in Europe.
As part of his agenda, Mr. Rutte will address the troops of the Forward Land Forces stationed in Lešť, acknowledging their dedication and contributions to NATO missions. This address is intended to boost morale among the troops while reinforcing the importance of their role in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
